Volunteers donated 4,800 hours to support our mission. (22).png

Businesses and organizations along with residents in the Sauk Prairie community are invited to become an integral part of this project. Instead of area churches, schools, businesses, and service clubs working independently to reach individuals and families in need of assistance during the holiday season, the Caring Tree attempts to fulfill all needs and prevent duplication.

The Caring Tree's goal is to provide a holiday meal, clothing, and gifts for the elderly, families, and children in the Sauk Prairie Area.

Businesses, organizations, and churches within the Sauk Prairie area set up a holiday tree that volunteers “decorate” with gift tags of requested and needed items.  Individuals wishing to participate remove a tag from a tree, purchase the desired gift and place it back under the same holiday tree unwrapped.  Volunteers pick up donated gifts weekly and transport them to a central location and Santa’s elves work to assemble gift boxes for needy families. Distribution of the gifts to families will be the week before Christmas.

Gift tags will be distributed with a tree if a business needs one around the first week of November.  Final dates to be determined by the volunteer committee.  Our program reaches over 800 local children, parents, disabled, and elderly in and around the Sauk Prairie Community.
